Bella, the Cow and More Sheep!

     One of my sons likes to pick up bottle calves or young cows. He will raise them up for awhile and then sale them off when they get bigger. Here are a few pics of the resident cow we have right now. Her name is Bella. Her new hang-out spot is right out the back door!     We also picked up a few more ewes that are really big-boned and nice-looking. I am thinking that the tan one might be bred.

New Faces at the Ranch

     It has been soooo long since I have posted on here. I have lots of exciting posts that I have been working on and hope to start uploading a few different series of posts in the next week or so. We have been busy multiplying animals like crazy around here. Much has gone into just keeping the animals alive and well during these HOT days that we have been having for the past month or more. Thankfully, there have not been too many losses (just one little bunny and a few chickens).         For now, here are a few pics of some of the new faces that have managed to make it through our front gates!  This is Tisha, one of our new Alpine does. She is bred back to kid in just a week or so. Shelby is another ALpine doe that is bred back and supposedly she gives 2.5 gallons of milk a day!! Bella, the mix breed meat calf walking around. One of the Saanan doelings that has made it to our place. The BIG 3 Boer does that my son picked up. One is...
